31 Flavors

So much of what I do is personal. I go in to someone’s home and balance their personalities with my distinctive eye for their individual narrative, hold that against the architecture of their space, and create an aesthetic & vibe of “home.” The people and families I have worked with over my 12 years in business, have been nothing but overjoyed for the multi-dimensional process they go through with me, my team, and the end result! Here in West Chester, Sonny Smith and Cameron Taylor, are my go-to assistants who provide me with ribbing comedy, brotherly sensibilities, and sage advice, while providing my clients with wit, braun, multiple skill sets, respect, and genuine hard work. We use several other go-to-sub-contractors that I have developed prideful relationships with over time. When I began working in Manhattan, I was grateful to have met Tom Issing through one of my clients. He is as sarcastic & hilarious, as he is proficient & skilled, as a craftsman and handy-person! I have additionally had the privilege of working with Sarah DeGrim, (Stylish Spaces), who professionally helps my NYC clients with organizing and streamlining their excess and storage, before I arrive for an install day. I have curated a career and team in the Big Apple, and in Chester County, PA, that I could not be more proud of. However, just like there are many flavors of ice cream, many styles of cars, shoes, et cetera, we may not be for everyone. That’s life. We all have choices from what to eat and whom to hire. Just like we may not be for you, you may not be for us. Designing for someone’s home becomes a relationship of trust and communication. Not all styles are compatible. We need to trust that you are interested in taking some design risks. We need to trust that you are ready to step outside of your comfort zone. We need to trust that you are ready to release the reigns. You need to trust that in the end it will be a composed and beautiful energy of “home.” One of my favorite quotes from architect Bjarke Ingels is, “I trust that if you nail down certain parameters, without knowing what the final result will be, you can make great decisions and love what happens. Rather than imposing an answer, you will set off on a journey confident that you will get there.” And that’s what creatives do. That is what we do. I encourage anyone interested in discussing a personal design experience to also check out our Instagram page @cirajsraab and to fill out a contact form to see if we are indeed a good fit for each other. Life should be beautiful and interesting. We can help you get there wherever you may be.
